Major Milestone for Our ANSO Project!

We are excited to share updates from our international project, “Surveillance of Disease Dispersal and Pathogenicity Variation of Corn Rusts in Asia”! Researchers from China, Thailand, the Philippines, and Uzbekistan recently gathered in Beijing to discuss our findings. Project leaders included Dr. Lei Cai from China, Dr. Wirulda Pootakham from Thailand, Benjamine William Cordes from the Philippines, and Dr. Yusufjon Gafforov from Uzbekistan. Key highlights included the identification of various corn pathogens and the introduction to valuable resources like the China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center (CGMCC) and the Herbarium Mycologicum (HMAS) at IMCAS.

This meeting also advanced international cooperation, strengthened joint research efforts, and promoted student exchanges. A special thanks to ANSO and CAS for their support!
