Pathum Thani, Thailand – On December 1, 2022, the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) of Thailand and China Railway Construction Cooperation (International) company (CRCC), representing the People’s Republic of China, signed a 5-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This MoU establishes a formal technical cooperation between the two organizations, focusing on the exchange and co-creation of information, know-how, human development, and joint research in the field of railway infrastructure. The primary objective of this collaboration is to enhance and advance the Thai railway system.
The MoU signing ceremony took place at Thailand Science Park in Pathum Thani, Thailand. Professor Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, President of NSTDA, and Mr. Zhang Hongping, Deputy General Manager of the R&D Department at CRCC, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. The signing was witnessed by Dr. Ekkarut Viyanit, Director of the Rail and Modern Transports Research Center of NSTDA, and Mr. Xiong Jianwei, Vice General Manager and Chief Engineer at China Railway Construction (Southeast Asia) Co., Ltd.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the development of Thailand’s railway infrastructure.
