Delegation of Taiwan Association for Lactic Acid Bacteria (TALAB) and Taiwan’s Food Industry Research and Development Institute (FIRDI), led by Prof. Guo-Jane Tsai, Department of Food Science, National Taiwan Ocean University, TALAB Chairman and Dr. Hing-Yuen Chan, Senior Researcher, Food Industry Research and Development Institute (FIRDI) visited National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), NSTDA. They met and discussed with Asst. Prof. Chaowaree Adthalungrong, Executive Director of BIOTEC and team on the use of probiotic microorganisms in food and health supplements and BIOTEC’s contribution to safety assessment for probiotics for FDA approval.
