On June 10−12, 2024, The seminar on “Green Hydrogen: Technology, Production, Storage, Transportation, Infrastructure Design and Applications” organized by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Power & Energy Society (Thailand) or IEEE PES (Thailand) in collaboration with the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and Hydrogen Thailand was held at Kamolthip Ballroom, The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok.

Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of ENTEC, along with the research team participated in the seminar. This event features Green Hydrogen, an alternative fuel for clean energy, aiming to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Positioned as one of the leading alternatives for future energy solutions, Green Hydrogen, as clean energy resource, offers a way towards the reduction of global pollution emission in the coming decades. As an alternative clean energy source for the future, Green Hydrogen could help Thailand by playing an important role as an energy source capable of replacing conventional energy, to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions (carbon neutrality) according to the country’s goal within 2065−2070. Renowned for its high combustion efficiency, cleanliness, and eco-friendly nature, hydrogen presents numerous advantages, including its GHGs emission-free and negligible impact on air quality make it a prime candidate for such a transition. Consequently, Hydrogen is compatible with fuel cells to produce electricity, a technology currently under development and expected to see widespread use in the future.
