On 10 July 2024, at MTEC Building, Thailand Science Park, the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA)

Dr. Toemsak Srikhirin, MTEC Executive Director, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), along with Dr. Chi-na Benyajati, Director, Material Processing and Manufacturing Automation Research Group, Dr. Anchalee Manonukul, Research Team Leader, Smart Alloys and Manufacturing Research Team, Dr. Piyapong Premvaranon, Research Team Leader, Lightweight Engineering Research Team and the team researchers, welcomed Professor Shigeru Saito, President of the University of Toyama, and his team and the Aluminum Research Center’s researchers for a visit to MTEC's facilities, which included the Lightweight Engineering Research Team Laboratory, Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) Laboratory, and Aluminum Foam Processing Laboratory.

During the visit, discussions focused on the exchange of expertise and ideas on research studies on aluminum extrusion, advanced material forming techniques, and aluminum recycling, to integrate aluminum product research into the current Net Zero Movement as a roadmap for future collaboration and collaborative operations.
