On June 14, 2024, the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) had the pleasure of welcoming three executives from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) on their visit to Thailand. The delegation had the opportunity to exchange information about their respective institutions and explore potential avenues for collaboration.

The Universiti Brunei Darussalam is guided by its four core values; people, expertise, relevance and leadership. These values are used as yardsticks in the development and running of eight academic faculties, eight research institutes and two support centres ranging from Islamic Studies, Business, Arts, Science, Health Sciences, Asian Studies, Policy Studies, Education, Biodiversity and Integrated Technologies.

During their visit, the UBD delegation had the opportunity to tour the Thailand Bioresource Research Center (TBRC), the NSTDA Supercomputer Center (ThaiSC), and the National Biobank of Thailand (NBT). These facilities represent NSTDA's commitment to cutting-edge research and innovation in Thailand.

NSTDA is confident that collaboration with UBD will lead to fruitful outcomes for both institutions. The agency looks forward to working closely with UBD to advance science, technology and capacity building in the region.
