On 23 August 2023, the graduation ceremony of TAIST-Tokyo Tech was held at Thailand Science Park, in the presence of facuty members and executives of TAIST-Tokyo Tech consortium members, including Prof. Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, President of NSTDA; Prof. Dr. Jun-ichi Imura, Executive Vice President of Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech); Dr. Somboon Sahasithiwat, Executive Vice President of NSTDA; and Dr. Patchralita Chatwalitpong, Vice President of NSTDA.
This year, the program graduated forty-seven students in three master of engineering programs; ten in Automotive and Advanced Transportation Engineering, seventeen in Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things, and twenty in Sustainable Energy and Resources Engineering. In addition, fifteen students were conferred certificates in the Rail and Transport Program.
TAIST-Tokyo Tech is a graduate education program jointly organized by a consortium of NSTDA, five Thai universities, and Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech). Its mission is to foster and support world-class researchers and high-level engineers through a combination of advising from Tokyo Tech professors, excellent facilities and research staff in NSTDA, and established resources of Thai universities. Thai universities participating in the program include King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMUTL); King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT); Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University (SIIT); Kasetsart University; and Mahidol University.
