On 16 November 2023, NSTDA, the National Innovation Agency (NIA) and IMPACT Exhibition Management jointly hosted Muang Thong Thani Smart Living Innovation Pitching. The event provided a platform for researchers and investors to present innovations aimed at contributing to the development of the Muang Thong Thani estate as a sustainable and livable city.
In his opening remarks, NSTDA Vice President Dr. Adisorn Tuantranont said that “Muang Thong Thani Smart Living Innovation Pitching" marks the launch of a partnership between IMPACT Exhibition Management and Thailand’s leading research and innovation institutes like NSTDA and NIA to transform the Muang Thong Thani estate into a sustainable, livable city. This pitching event enables research institutes and startups to showcase their innovations to potential investors, with the Muang Thong Thani estate serving as a pilot site for testing the innovations. The initiative aligns with its aspiration to become the Muang Thong Innovation District and the government’s Bio-Circular-Green Economy (BCG) model.
IMPACT CEO Mr. Paul Kanjanapas emphasized that IMPACT Muang Thong Thani prioritizes the wellbeing of its residents, as well as visitors to its facilities which amount to 300,000 to 1,000,000 people on a daily basis. The estate is eager to embrace innovations to make Muang Thong Thani a livable and sustainable community and is committed to supporting Thai innovators and home-grown innovations.
The event featured presentations from seven startups, two of which are NSTDA spinoffs, and one research unit, pitching their projects. In addition, there were 14 exhibition booths showcasing innovations, with the participation of three potential investors, namely NASTDA Holding, NEXUS, and Green Rocket. The event drew a total of 60 participants
