On 2 November 2023, Prof. Dr. Pairash Thajchayapong, Chairman of Thailand BCG Sub Committee on Medical Devices and NSTDA Vice President Dr. Adisorn Tuantranont presented DentiiScan Duo – a CT scanner for dental and maxillofacial imaging - to Laemsing Hospital to support the hospital in providing dental care and services to its patients.
DentiiScan Duo was developed by the Assistive Technology and Medical Devices Center (A-MED) of NSTDA. Designed for utilization in confined spaces such as small hospitals or clinics, DentiiScan Duo is capable of capturing both panoramic radiographs and CT scans, generating 2D and 3D dental and maxillofacial images to support diagnosis and surgical planning for procedures such as dental implants, impacted tooth removal and endodontics.
In addition to the machine, the A-MED research team also organized a training session for Laemsing Hospital staff from 30 October to 2 November 2023.
