As part of NSTDA Annual Conference 2024, NSTDA in collaboration with Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) held a seminar of the success of research collaborations between the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) took place on 28 March 2024 at Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani.
This seminar aims to facilitate knowledge exchange between research teams from NSTDA and CAS. It seeks to share the results of collaborations, exchange experiences in joint research, and announce upcoming collaborative programs. The projects presented today are just a part of the projects under the CAS-NSTDA collaboration. These projects are currently at different stages: completed projects, ongoing projects, and upcoming projects. This allows the audience to gain insights into overall collaboration and foster opportunities for future cooperation.
In her welcome remarks, NSTDA Executive Vice President Dr. Uracha Ruktanonchai underlined the importance of fostering discussions on collaborative work practices, strategies for enhancing research partnerships, and opportunities for future collaboration between CAS and NSTDA.
The Seminar showcased the progress and successful of four CAS-NSTDA Projects collaboration; 1. Nanomaterials for Biolipid Conversion via Photo/Thermal Catalysis 2. The novel nanoscale delivery mRNA system for SARS-CoV-2 vaccine prevention and treatment 3. Development of a digital database of endogenous viral elements (EVEs) and novel viruses to improve PCR detection methods for controlling the spread of crustacean viral diseases via international trade and screening of markers for viral-resistant breeding stocks and 4. High-Cost Efficiency Microbial Fuel Cell for Simultaneous Wastewater Treatment, Bioenergy Production, and Metal Recovery using Robust Strains for Bioelectrocatalytic Process. Approximately 50 participants attended the seminar.
