The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) hosted “NSTDA Annual Conference” (NAC2024), which took place on 28 - 30 March 2024 at the Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani. On 29 March 2024, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over an opening ceremony of the 19th NSTDA Annual Conference. NAC2024 was held under the theme "Co-Creating R&D Values to Foster Thai Economic and Social Transformation with BCG Implementation". The activities include academic seminars, exhibitions, conferences, a tour to research facilities, and also science activities for youth.
As part of NAC 2024, “NSTDA - Forschungszentrum Jülich 10th Anniversary Conference” took place on 28 March 2024. This conference aims to celebrate the success of the last 10 years’ collaboration between researchers of NSTDA and the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences (Plant Sciences, IBG-2), Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany. Other than the 10th anniversary celebration, the signing ceremony of the Framework Cooperation Agreement Phase II was organized in order to extend and strengthen collaborative research and development between researchers from both institutions.
Moreover, the seminar named “The success of research collaborations between the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and NSTDA” also took place on 28 March 2024. This seminar aims to facilitate knowledge exchange between research teams from NSTDA and CAS, and to share the results of collaborations, exchange experiences in joint research, and announce upcoming collaborative programs. This event brought together the audiences to gain insights into overall collaboration and foster opportunities for future cooperation.
In addition to the conference and seminar, NAC2024 also has activities for entrepreneurs and industry to explore new business opportunities, such as an open house activity in which visitors have a chance to visit laboratories at Thailand Science Park and R&D pitching which presents exciting innovations.
