As part of NAC2024, NSTDA - Forschungszentrum Jülich 10th Anniversary Conference and Exhibition took place on 28 – 30 March 2024 at the Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani. On 29 March 2024, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over an opening ceremony of the 19th NSTDA Annual Conference (NAC2024).
Following the royal opening address, Princess Sirindhorn paid a visit to “NSTDA - Forschungszentrum Jülich 10th Anniversary Exhibition” which the exhibition displays 10 Years Timeline and Journey of NSTDA – Jülich. Additionally, the exhibition reported NSTDA-Jülich Joint Lab PhD Studentships which two NSTDA researchers have been being supported PhD Studentships by Jülich since 2020 to develop human resources in the bioeconomy and create opportunities to learn new technological advances for researchers. Moreover, the exhibition showcases several joint research projects conducted by NSTDA and Jülich researchers, including IRRIGATION 4.0, DIRECTION, Magik Growth, and PiñaFibre.
In addition to the exhibition, “NSTDA - Forschungszentrum Jülich 10th Anniversary Conference” was organized on 28 March 2024, aims to celebrate the success of the last 10 years’ collaboration between researchers of NSTDA and the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences (Plant Sciences, IBG-2), Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany.
In his speech, NSTDA President Prof. Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong delivered that the collaboration between NSTDA and Jülich has flourished, leading to groundbreaking advancements in various fields of research and innovation, and the president believed that continued collaboration between two institutions will pave the way for even greater accomplishments. Other than the 10th anniversary celebration, the signing ceremony of the Framework Cooperation Agreement Phase II was organized in order to extend and strengthen collaborative research and development between researchers from both institutions. Themes under the agreement phase II focus on 1) Smart Agriculture, 2) Regionalization of Bioeconomy, and 3) Value-Added Products for Bio-Circular-Green Economy.
