September 26, 2024 – The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) recently hosted a delegation of high-ranking Malaysian officials led by Prof. Dr. Azmawani Binti Abd Rahman, President and CEO of Putra Business School. The visit aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange on national-level organizational management and leadership, as part of the "Leadership Quest in a Global Immersion Experience" program organized by the Public Service Department and Putra Business School.
During the visit, NSTDA President, Prof. Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, shared insights into adaptive leadership in an era of rapid technological and economic change. He emphasized the importance of effective decision-making and adaptability to evolving circumstances to navigate organizational challenges successfully.
The Malaysian delegation included representatives from various key ministries, such as Finance, Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Economy, Natural Resources and Environment, and the Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia.
Dr. Sanat Wongthawethong, Deputy Director, Thailand Science Park, delivered a presentation and conducted a tour of R&D enterprises at Innovation Cluster 1. Researchers from Foodserp and the Nanomaterials and Sensors Research Group at the National Nanotechnology Center, NSTDA, showcased their cutting-edge research and addressed questions from the visiting delegation.
This visit not only provided an opportunity for Malaysian officials to develop their leadership skills but also strengthened educational, scientific, and commercial ties between the two countries. Through the exchange of knowledge and ideas, both nations can explore future collaborative opportunities.
