On March 14, 2025, a delegation from ASEAN member states, Timor-Leste, and the Republic of Korea visited the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) at Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani Province. The purpose of this visit was to observe and exchange knowledge in science and technology. The delegation received a briefing on NSTDA's missions and achievements, and visited the National Center for Testing and Evaluation (NCTC) and the Electrical and Electronic Products Testing Center (PTEC), which play crucial roles in supporting the industrial sector with internationally standardized testing and analysis services. This visit served as an opportunity to strengthen relationships and foster collaboration with ASEAN member states, Timor-Leste, and the Republic of Korea.

The visit was part of the ASEAN-ROK Retreat Meeting under the framework of the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology, and Innovation (COSTI), focusing on brainstorming to develop a work plan for driving cooperation between ASEAN and Korea. This aligns with the ASEAN Regional Research Infrastructure Strategy, which NSTDA, as chair and secretariat of the working group, plans to submit for endorsement in June 2025.
