A high-level delegation from the Philippines, led by Dr. Renato U. Solidum, Jr., Secretary General of Department of Science and Technology (DOST), visited the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) in Thailand on January 23, 2025. The visit aimed to exploring potential collaborations in research and development between the two countries.
During the visit, the Philippine delegation toured four cutting-edge laboratories at NSTDA, including the BIOTEC Plant Factory, Nano Safety and Bioactivity Research Team, National Advanced Nano-characterization Center, and NSTDA Supercomputer Center (ThaiSC). Dr. Uracha Ruktanonchai, Executive Director of NANOTEC who oversees NSTDA’s International Collaboration, provided a detailed overview of NSTDA's research activities, exchange on both countries policy on supporting collaboration with large scale industry until startup company as well as discussed potential areas for future cooperation.
