Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) and National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) started establishing their academic cooperation since 2001. The collaboration between Tokyo Tech and NSTDA has helped established the Thailand Advanced Institute of Science and Technology - Tokyo Institute of Technology ( TAIST-Tokyo Tech) which focused on human resource development to foster and support world class researchers through a combination of advising from Tokyo Tech professor, excellent facilities and research staff in NSTDA, and established resources of Thai universities.
With the current state of emergency putting a halt to research caused by COVID-19, Tokyo Tech has launched the Hope This Helps (HTH) Project, as the first project of its Social Rebooting Technology Initiative. The projects provides time- limited, royalty-free access to Tokyo Tech patents to support effort in recovery and society’s rebooting. When applying to use one of its patents, please explain how its use will relate to COVID-19 and rebooting society.
