BIOTEC in collaboration with NITE Biological Research Center (NBRC) of Japan organized Curator Course for Microbial Resources Management, aiming to develop curators’ skills in the management of biological resources including storage and identification of microorganisms and management information as well as to strengthen the linkages among culture collections.
This year the lecture topics focused on the areas of microbial taxonomy, trend in bio-resource management and biobusiness, legal management and biosafety which were delivered by Thai and Japanese experts.
This is the second time this Curator Course for Microbial Resources Management was organized; the first one was held in January 2013. This year, the Course was organized on 22-25 April 2014 at Thailand Science Park, Pathum Thani with 40 attendees from Thai public and private organizations.
