A workshop on “Climate Action and Resource Efficiency in Southeast Asia: Thematic and Funding Opportunities” was organized on 12 May 2016 during the STI Days 2016 in Hanoi, Vietnam. Dr. Anil Kumar from AIT, Thailand welcome the participants and presented the objectives as well as achievements of SUSTAIN EU-ASEAN
project. SUSTAIN EU-ASEAN “Sustain and Enhance Cooperation on Sustainable Development between Europe and Southeast Asia” project is funded by European Commission under the FP7 Programme. Dr. Shilpi Saxena, NCP from Germany presented the scope of funding opportunities in Horizon 2020. Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoang from NASATI, Vietnam presented the details of concepts of twining projects funded by SUSTAIN EU-ASEAN. Dr. Pattharaporn Suntharasaj from NSTDA, Thailand highlighted the various funding opportunities for collaborative projects for the ASEAN researchers. The two hours workshop, attended by more than 50 participants was closed with the open discussion.
