NSTDA and the National Applied Research Laboratories of Taiwan or NARLabs have strengthen collaboration with a signing of a memorandum of understanding and an opening of NARLabs Bangkok Office at the Thailand Science Park. The ceremony was held on 26 March 2019 with executives of both parties led by Prof. Yeong-Her Wang, NARLabs President and Dr. Narong Sirilertworakul, NSTDA President.
The MOU between NARLabs and NSTDA aims to promote collaboration through an exchange of knowledge and research staff, joint workshops/symposia, joint research projects and the promotion of technology/IP commercialization.
As the first step of the MOU implementation, NARLabs brought a number of its top scientists and staff to participate in the NSTDA Annual Conference 2019 (NAC2019) and organized activities in tandem such as exhibition, keynote lectures in several NAC2019 scientific seminars, and a joint workshop. NARLabs delegation also had a chance to tour research facilities of NSTDA, namely MTEC, NANOTEC, NSTDA Characterization and Testing Service Center, and Thailand Organic & Printed Electronics Innovation Center, and meet with Thai companies located in Thailand Science Park.
A NSTDA-NARLabs Joint Workshop was held on 27 March, offering opportunities for scientists of both sides to discuss and formulate joint research projects in the topics of cyber-physical systems (CPS), internet of things (IoT), high-performance computing, photonics technology and opto-electrochemical sensing.
