NSTDA and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (UC), a leading university in Chile, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 22 July 2019 at Thailand Science Park. Representing NSTDA and UC at the signing ceremony were Dr. Narong Sirilertworakul, NSTDA President and Mr. Alex Parnas, UC Director of Entrepreneurship. The celebration was graciously witnessed by H.E. Mr. Christian Rehren Bargetto, Ambassador of Chile to Thailand and Mr. Luis Alberto Palma, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Chile.
The MOU between NSTDA and UC will focus on the development of the startup ecosystem in Chile and Thailand to support startups and innovative businesses in both countries and enhance opportunities for collaboration between startups and innovative businesses in Chile and Thailand. The collaboration will be actively carried out by TMC, a unit of NSTDA that supports industrial sector in Thailand, and INCUBA-UC, a business incubator of UC.
After the signing ceremony, executives of TMC-NSTDA and INCUBA-UC also engaged in the discussion of the first initiative to co-organize “Company-Entrepreneur Meeting” to promote trade collaboration and investment between the two countries. The Chilean delegation later toured the Future Food Lab, one of the key facilities offered by Food Innopolis.
