On Thursday October 31st, 2019, Dr. Narong Sirilertworakul, President of National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) along with the executives and research team attended the collaborative meeting and signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between NSTDA and Whetron Electronics Co., Ltd. Whetron is the tier one automotive parts company, with its clients from major automotive industry around the world.
This MOU aims to collaborate on development of autonomous vehicle technology. NSTDA autonomous vehicle team is currently working on a preliminary autonomous golf cart project in collaboration with Sansiri golf cart AV demonstration in closed area community called T77. The goal of NSTDA and Whetron is launching a working demo by the end of the year 2019
