NSTDA organized science camp for students to learn about agricultural innovation. Over 100 junior high school students from three schools in Pathum Thani area participated in the activity which was held at Sirindhorn Science Home located at Thailand Science Park.

The activity introduced students to science behind plant factory, a new research facility at NSTDA. Students learned about light, the effect of light spectrum on plant growth and how to conduct scientific experiment on plant growth from researchers and participated in fun activities such as building a plant factory, making a simple LED circuit for plant factory and growing microgreen. Students can apply the knowledge and skills learned from this science camp to their future science projects.

This science camp is an activity of Thailand Children’s University Project which aims to encourage students to become involved in science-learning activities and is supported by “Chevron Enjoy Science” project.
