MONICA is a brain training mobile application designed to enhance the memory and concentration among seniors. It was developed with human centric design concept and inputs provided by experts of Ramathibodi Hospital and a dementia day care center of Prasat Neurological Institute. The app consists of games making use of pictures and icons - simple for seniors to navigate.
Developed by Drs. Sarawut Lerspalungsanti and Sittha Sukkasi, MTEC Design and Industry Solutions Research Team, MONICA comes with a function to store score history allowing users and their physicians to track their progress. In addition to playing the games on smartphones and tablets, MONICA can be connected with a wireless controller, enabling users to improve motor function and muscle strength at the same time.
This app is available for free download on App Store and Google Play. Wireless controllers will be available for purchase in two months at https://digitalpicnic.co.th/monica/. Digital Picnic Co., Ltd. makes wireless controllers under license from NSTDA.
