On 2 November 2020, an agreement was signed among three parties, including NSTDA, Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) and the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) to advance into the 3rd phase of partnership to support research and development to improve SMEs competitiveness. Participating in the signing ceremony were executives from the three parties, namely Dr. Thitapha Smitinont, NSTDA Executive Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pongpan Kaewtathip, TSRI Deputy Director and Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Acting NRCT Executive Director.
The collaboration will be implemented through the Innovation and Technology Assistance Program (ITAP) of NSTDA and Innovative House Program of NRCT, with funding allocated by TSRI to support product development for SMEs, particularly food, cosmetic and cosmeceutical sectors.
Multiple activities were organized to support the agreement signing, including a seminar featuring CEOs of companies participating in the programs, displays of over 135 commercial products from 88 SMEs that were successfully developed in the 2nd phase and the presentation of Innovative House Awards 2020 in 12 categories.
