At the World Congress of Angel Investors - WBAF 2021 recently held on a virtual platform, NSTDA was presented with the Most Startup-Friendly Technology Institute of Asia award. The award recognizes NSTDA’s effort in fostering tech companies in Thailand in order to drive new S-curve industries.
Organized by the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), the event was the world’s biggest gathering of early-stage equity and investment markets and provided a platform for world’s top startups from over 50 countries to participate in the Global Fundraising Stage (GFRS) to raise fund from potential investors from around the world.
NSTDA Executive VP Dr. Thitapha Smitinont revealed that NSTDA has set up WBAF Thailand Country Office, the first of its kind in the ASEAN region, to accelerate the development of Thai angel investors in order to completely fulfill Thailand’s startups ecosystem and to serve as a gateway to connect with global leader in equity and capital markets.
