NSTDA President Dr. Narong Sirilertworakul was recently named the recipient of the 2021 Guangxi Golden Silk Ball Friendship Award presented by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for his outstanding contribution to the socio-economic development of Guangxi. The award presentation ceremony was held on 9 September 2021 as part of the 9th Forum on China-ASEAN Technology Transfer and Collaborative Innovation in Nanning, Guangxi, P.R. China.
President Narong is an expert in the field of manufacturing engineering and technology transfer and the leader of the China-Thailand bilateral technology transfer working group. In 2015, he was instrumental in establishing a framework for the China-Thailand science and technology exchanges and bilateral technology transfer. Since then, he has made significant contributions to the promotion of China-Thailand scientific and technological cooperation, paving the way for the economic and social development of Guangxi, China.
