On 30 June 2022, the France-Thailand Business Forum (FTBF), in collaboration with the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking, and MEDEF International, co-organized 'the 3rd France-Thailand Business Forum Annual Meeting' at The Athenee Hotel, Bangkok. The meeting comprised sectorial roundtables and special panel discussions on transport & mobility and Bio-Circular-Green Economy (BCG).
Dr. Janekrishna Kanatharana, NSTDA Executive Vice President overseeing the development of Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi), gave a presentation on the BCG policy framework and was among French and Thai delegates participating in the sectorial roundtable on BCG.
FTBF is one of the key mechanisms to drive France-Thai collaboration and enhance private investment for mutual benefit as France has strength in advanced technology, while Thailand has the potential to be a center of sustainable growth in the ASEAN region. This 3rd forum, attended by government leaders and prominent entrepreneurs and industries from France and Thailand, is one the actions aimed to support the governmental framework on France-Thailand Roadmap 2022-2024 focusing on 5 targeted industries, namely, transport, smart city, energy transition, food & agriculture, and health & wellness.
