Thailand’s National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and Switzerland’s Empa-Swiss Federal Laboratory of Material Science and Technology (Empa) have agreed to broaden and deepen their collaboration in a number of fields including Biomedical Engineering, Nanosafety and Nanotoxicology, Materials and Systems for Precision Medicine, and Implants and Biointerfaces.

Empa - Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology is an interdisciplinary research institute of the ETH Domain which conducts cutting-edge materials and technology research. Empa’s R&D activities focus on meeting the requirements of industry and the needs of society and thus link applications-oriented research to the practical implementation of new ideas.

NSTDA is an agency under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI) with a mandate to accelerate science, technology and innovation development in Thailand in order to respond to the needs of the industry and enhance the country’s competitiveness in the global economy. NSTDA’s mission is to perform and support R&D, design and engineering, technology transfer, human resource development, and infrastructure development by working with partners from academic, government, private, and non-government sectors, both domestically and internationally.
