China is now setting up the database on researchers which would like to apply for collaboration fund from China. The Thailand researchers who provide their information will have priority to be selected when cooperation with Chinese organizations and fund application.
Purpose of project implementation and key areas:
To follow the guidelines of the requirement that “China will support 300 ASEAN young scientists in coming to China for exchanges in the next five years” President Xi Jinping made in the important speech delivered at the China-ASEAN Special Summit to Commemorate the 30th Anniversary of China-ASEAN Dialogue Relations, thoroughly follow the new requirements of the Central Talent Work Conference, build a regional talent cluster and an international high ground for talents oriented to ASEAN, practice the concept of “assembling the best minds across the land selected for their integrity and expertise”, attract outstanding young scientific and technological innovation talents from ASEAN member states to China for innovation projects, learn about demands for cooperation, build a new platform for cooperation, and finally to deepen science and technology cooperation and people-to-people bonds for regional innovative and integrated development.
The key areas for support in 2022 are big health, advantageous and featured agriculture, ecological and environmental protection, information technology, digital economy, as well as fields related to the construction of the ASEAN-oriented Cooperation Zone for Scientific and Technological Innovation.
