ก.วิทยาศาสตร์เร่งช่วยชาวสวนลำไยเพิ่มรายได้ส่งออก สร้าง“เครื่องอบไมโครเวฟ”ต้นแบบ อบเร็วขึ้น 15 เท่า คาดปีหน้าใช้งานได้จริง

นครราชสีมา – นักวิจัยสถาบันวิจัยแสงซินโครตรอน กระทรวงวิทยาศาสตร์ฯ เตรียมสร้างเครื่องอบแห้งลำไยด้วยไมโครเวฟขนาดกำลัง 100 กิโลวัตต์ครั้งแรก หวังช่วยเกษตรกรผู้ปลูกลำไยไทย เผยสามารถอบลำไยได้ครั้งละ 1 ตัน ร่นระยะเวลาในการอบลงได้ถึง 15 เท่าจากเดิมต้องใช้เวลาอบ 2-3 วันให้เหลือแค่ 3-5 ชั่วโมงเท่านั้น สร้างรายได้จากการส่งออกลำไยไทยได้อื้อ คาดปีหน้าใช้งานได้จริง

สืบเนื่องจากที่ประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการ เรื่อง ความเป็นไปได้ในการจัดตั้งศูนย์เครือข่ายการฝึกอบรมและสารสนเทศด้านการปรับปรุงสภาพการทำงานและสิ่งแวดล้อมสำนักงานเลขาธิการอาเซียน (Workshop on Feasibility Study on Establish ASEAN Training and Information Centre / Network for Improvement of Working Conditions and Environment) ณ Quezon City ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ ซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดย สำนักเลขาธิการอาเซียน มีมติที่ประชุม
1. จัดตั้งเครือข่ายความปลอดภัยและอาชีวอนามัยของอาเซียน (ASEAN Occupational Safety and Health Network : ASEAN-OSHNET)
2. จัดตั้งคณะกรรมการบริหารเครือข่ายความปลอดภัย และอาชีวอนามัยของอาเซียน (ASEAN-OSHNET Coordinating Board)
3. รายงานผลการดำเนินงานต่อที่ประชุมคณะอนุกรรมการอาเซียนด้านแรงงาน (ASEAN Subcommittee on Labour Affairs-ASCLA) หรือที่ประชุมรัฐมนตรีแรงงานอาเซียนในปัจจุบัน

อีก 5 ปี วิกฤตจราจรติดหนึบวิ่ง10กม./ชม. อีก 5 ปี จราจรเมืองกรุงวิกฤตใช้ความเร็วได้ไม่เกิน 10 กม.ต่อชม.

การจราจรในกรุงเทพฯและปริมณฑลส่อเค้าวิกฤตหนักในอีก 5 ปีข้างหน้าอาจทำความเร็วเฉลี่ยได้ ไม่เกิน 10 กิโลเมตรต่อชั่วโมง หลังเก็บสถิติตั้งแต่ปี 2553 พบความเร็วเฉลี่ยลดลงเรื่อยๆ จาก 29-23 กิโลเมตรต่อชั่วโมงมาอยู่ที่ 14-17 กิโลเมตรต่อชั่วโมงเท่านั้นในปัจจุบันหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องเร่งระดมสมองหา ทางแก้ไข เบื้องต้นจะต้องบังคับใช้กฎหมายอย่างจริงจังและนำเทคโนโลยีที่ทันสมัยเข้ามา ช่วย

Keeen keen on exporting

Keeen Co, Asia’s only manufacturer of biocleaning products, expects to more than triple annual sales to 500 million baht by 2016 through exports and an expansion of domestic sales channels.

Watson Ariyaphuttarat, the founder and chief industrial ecologist, said this year’s sales are projected to increase by 50% to 150 million baht as the company starts exporting.

TWO THAIS MAKE IT TO WEF YOUNG GLOBAL LEADERS LIST

ML Dispanadda Diskul, the chief development officer of Doi Tung Development Project, and Nitsara Karoonuthaisiri, head of Microarray Laboratory of the National Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (Biotec), are the only two Thais included in the prestigious World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders in 2013.

They are among 199 young leaders named this year, which include one each from Cambodia and Indonesia, two each from Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia, three from Hong Kong, six from Japan, and 10 from China.

สหรัฐอเมริกา : การนำเข้าสัตว์เลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมเพื่อการทดลองลดลง

ข่าววิทยาศาสตร์ล่าสุดจากวารสารเนเจอร์  ฉบับวันที่ 7 มีนาคม  2556
ข่าวหมวดแนวโน้ม -  จำนวนสัตว์เลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมเพื่อการทดลองที่นำเข้า สหรัฐอเมริกา เพื่อการวิจัย มีจำนวนลดลงอย่างรวดเร็ว  หลังจากที่หน่วยงานชื่อ British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV)  ในกรุงลอนดอน และองค์กร People for the Ethical Treatment of  Animal (PETA)  ใน Norfolk รัฐเวอร์จิเนีย เริ่มทำการกดดันสายการบินหลักๆ ให้หยุดกิจกรรมขนส่งนี้
พบว่าช่วงปี 2006-2002 สหรัฐอเมริกามีอัตราการนำเข้าสัตว์เลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมเพื่อการทดลองลดลงถึงร้อยละ 36
